“Surround yourself with the dreamers and the doers, the believers and thinkers, but most of all, surround yourself with people who see greatness within you even when you don’t see it yourself.” — Due to the fact I’m introducing you to my best friend today, I felt this quote was undeniably appropriate.
Very few people in this world are blessed with friends who stick around through thick and thin. Lucky for me, my best friend has seen me through 11 years of life. Crazy, beautiful, scary, wonderful life.
Meet Bailey —
My brilliant, kind, beautiful, God-fearing friend.
If you can’t tell from the picture, Bailey is a beauty queen. A beauty queen, and a self-proclaimed product hoarder. I swear, this woman has bought and tried it all.
Just in time for Christmas, I bring you Bailey’s 2013 Holiday Gift Guide!
*The following content was provided by Bailey Mikeska:A Louis, a Tory, and diamond earrings… these are a few of my favorite things. Not quite the music to my husband’s ears but a girl can dream, right? Nothing gives a man more anxiety than having to buy a gift. Sure there are many, many wonderful things in this world a girl covets. However, it is often the little, practical things we tend to overlook when making a Christmas list. If you are struggling with gift ideas for your mom, your gal pals, or for yourself, I have compiled a list of five of my personal favorites right now. You can give or receive these little gems and it won’t cost you a small fortune. Lastly, remember the reason for the season- it is so easy to get caught up in the selfish holiday hoop-lah (guilty!). “But just as you excel in everything – in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in your love for us – see that you also excel in this grace of giving.” 2 Corinthians 8:7
I had never worn lipstick until my wedding day. Man, was I missing out! Since then, I’ve become completely addicted; and I feel naked without some kind of color on my pout. I stumbled across this adorable package with 5 basic shades every woman should own.

2. OPI Nail Lacquer in ‘Significant Other Color’:
I recently bought a pair of Kendra Scott’s Danielle earrings in Iridescent Agate – a limited edition stone, part of her Aurora line. They are to die for! I stumbled across OPI’s version of the color recently. It is a beautiful polish with a subtle shimmer of purples and greens. Like having the Northern Lights on your fingertips.

3. Lollia in Love Classic Petal Bubble Path:
I don’t know if it was the giant vintage porcelain tub, the bubble bath, the fact that I was in horrible pain, but the best bath I’ve ever had in my life involved these bubbles. While visiting my husband’s family last spring, I had a horrible experience with an obstructed salivary gland- most painful thing, ever – but that’s another story for another time. Anyways, my husband’s aunt offered to draw me a bubble bath before bed to help me relax. The delicate, clean scent was amazing. My skin (and my pounding head) sighed in relief.

4. The “Wet” Brush:
My grandmother would always scold me for running a hairbrush through my wet hair. “You are breaking all your hair off!” Having thick hair, there was
no waya comb was going to sort through my knotted mess after every shower. And yes, breakage is a problem for me. I was introduced to The Wet Brush at my last hair appointment. Two words: Life. Changing. I was skeptical of the thin, flimsy bristles but this little tool detangles in a snap without the pain of tugging through wetted knots. The brush comes in an assortment of fun colors – makes for a great stocking stuffer!$14 TheWetBrush.com
Speaking of hair, Moroccanoil is another Godsend on my bathroom counter. A little dab of this this oil detangles, defrizzes and amps up the shine of your hair. But it’s the smell that really takes the cake. I was ecstatic to find out they made a candle. If you like richer scents – think amber, sandlewood, vanilla – then you will love the deep sensual aroma of Moroccanoil.
