After taking a picture in the exact same mirror, in almost the exact same pose, just 11 months apart, I couldn’t help but share my little transformation with my FiC followers.
This first picture was taken at the end of April 2014. I had JUST started doing squats (combined with other leg work) consistently. At the time, I had no complaints about my body, other than the little bit of cellulite on the back of my legs, and my tiny booty. But for the most part, I was happy and confident; and really proud of my success.
This second picture was taken in March 2015; after almost a year of doing squats consistently. And when I say squats, I don’t mean crazy crossfit heavy-weight squats. I mean the regular squats (some with weight, some without) I post about all the time.
This is proof my workouts work, y’all. I’m not just feeding you a bunch of BS. I promise! Squats, lunges, deadlifts…do them.
And here’s the deal — I was not in any way, shape, or form unhappy with my body. I just simply wanted to see what consistent leg and booty work could do for me.
Not only are my quads more defined, my cankles (yes, cankles) have disappeared. That’s HUGE. My core has never been stronger, and my booty is high, tight, and rock-solid.
It’s amazing what the human body is capable of. That’s the beautiful thing about fitness — There’s never an end goal; it’s always a journey. And remember, I’m on the journey with you!
We’re in this shit together, sister. So don’t give up. You got this!
Stay fit, friends. Xo
