It’s weeks like these I am really grateful I’m not stuck in the library jamming my mind full of “finals” jargon. I may miss college, but I definitely do not miss studying for finals.
If you are one of the poor souls having to cram your life away over the next few days, my thoughts are with you. And to help your brain function just a little bit better, I’m sharing a little study-break workout with you. Run through this circuit two times every thirty minutes. You will thank me later.
Hold yourself up on chair handles :30 — Hold on to the handles of the chair (if they are sturdy enough), and hold yourself up, over the chair, for thirty seconds. Use that core!
Hover over chair :60 — Hover over chair in a squat position, and hold for one minute. Let those quads and glutes feel the burn.
30 tricep dips on chair — With your palms on the seat of the chair, and your legs out in front of you, dip all the way down until your booty almost reaches the floor. Raise back up, and complete 30 reps.
30 push-ups on chair — Complete thirty elevated pushups with your hands on the seat of the chair.
20 leg lifts on chair (each leg) — Stay in that push-up position, and raise your left leg 20 times. Keep your toe pointed, and focus on that working glute. Repeat with your right leg.
Knee reaches on chair :60 — Continue holding your push-up position, and bring your right knee up to reach towards your left elbow. Repeat with left leg to right elbow. Focus on squeezing those abs!
Completing this circuit twice every thirty minutes, between studying, will leave you feeling extra productive. Working out AND studying? That’s what I’m talkin’ bout.
Best of luck on your finals! Study hard and stay fit, friends! Xo
