So, as embarrassing as this is to admit, one of my biggest fears is stinking. LOL But seriously though, I HATE to smell bad. I have little perfume samples laying around all over my house. I’m overly obsessive with deodorant, and all of my beauty products HAVE to smell good. I also have a ridiculous amount of Listerine strips and Altoids in all of my purses.
But, I’m pretty sure I’m not the only woman in the world who worries about smelling like a sweaty mess after a workout, right?! Because y’all…I am NOT one of the lucky ones who just lightly glisten after cardio. I sweat like a player in the NBA finals. It’s really not cute. But whateva. I’ve perfected the ultimate little post-workout smell-good routine. And it works like a charm! 😉
Ok, cool. So now that I’ve admitted my supreme weirdness, let’s get to my smell-good secrets!
1. Degree Dry Spray — LOVE this concept! So fast and easy; and no weird residue that takes 30823598375897 days to scrub off. Fresh Energy is my favorite scent; it’s light and fresh.
2. Dove Regenerative Nourishment Serum-In-Oil — I’ve used my Aveda Oil for years, but when Dove came out with this oil I had to give it a try. And now I’m hooked. I rub a drop of this through my ends after every workout to keep the salt from damaging my ends. (Sweat is tough on hair, y’all!) The smell is so fab, I like to use a little on my hands as a moisturizing oil, too.
3. Mermaid Hair Shine Spray — If you love the smell of orange blossom and coconut, BUY THIS! You’ll smell like a summer goddess, and your hair will be mermaid goals. It tames flyaways, and prevents hair from drying out after a sweat sesh. This spray also helps with hair’s elasticity, which is HUGE for those of us with long hair. (Those ponytails can be brutal!)
4. Le Labo Santal 33 Eau de Parfum — I could go on for DAYSSSSS about this stuff. If I had to wear one scent for the rest of my life, it’d be this. It’s unisex, so watch out…your man might steal it! 😉 Santal 33 is not cheap, but it is worth every penny. A bottle of this will last you a realllyyyyyy long time.
Which of these products have you tried? Are there any I need to add to my repertoire?
