Do you ever have one of those weeks where you feel like your life is literally spiraling out of control? Like there are 480935835098 hours missing in each and every day. And you can barely get your shit together enough to reply to all your unanswered texts, emails, and messages?
SAME.
For the past several weeks, I’ve been living off of adrenaline and cereal.
Cereal? Wtf?
Yes, cereal. Because it’s the only thing that requires absolutely no thought. Well, cereal and Goldfish. But I’m not about to admit tell you I eat Goldfish for dinner.
We all have those weeks/days/months. They happen. Shit happens. Life happens. But life is so damn short. Is all that stress really worth it?
The answer to that question would be no. No, it is NOT worth it.
I have this conversation with The Boyfriend on the regular. We constantly have to remind each other how good life is, and how far we’ve come. We’re both so young, and we have accomplished so much. Yet, all we seem to do is stress.
And I know we’re not alone. Because the pressure of today’s world is real. It’s like a two-ton brick on all of our heads.
Are we educated enough? Is our education from a credible school? Do we have enough experience? How do we get enough experience? Are we attractive enough? Are we too attractive? Do we look young enough? Do we look old enough? Do we have the right friends? Do we have enough friends? Is our house good enough? Did we get married too early? Have we dated enough?
It. never. stops.
But I can tell you from experience — It does not matter one bit what your job is, how much money you make, or how many friends you have. If you don’t believe you’re good enough, no one will.
So, believe in yourself. Know you are good. Know you are DOING good. Because if you don’t believe it, who will?!
And if you’re ever at a point in life when you feel like you are never going to figure things out (we’ve all been there), consider this checklist:
1. I know who I am.
2. I am happy with who I am.
3. I have set a clear list of goals for my future.
4. I am working towards at least one of those goals.
5. I know I am loved.
6. I have changed everything I can.
7. I have accepted the things I cannot change.
Make your way down that list, take some deep breaths, and everything will be ok. 🙂

Love this post, Mattie! A friend of mine lost her dad very unexpectedly this past weekend, and it is a quick reminder that we worry too much when we should just live in the moment and be thankful that we have days to live. P.S. loving that top!
