Five Ways to be The Ultimate Woman Crush Wednesday

Woman Crush Wednesday, also known as #wcw. It rolls around week after week, giving women an opportunity to post a pic of a woman who inspires them.

Nine times out of ten, we (I’m including myself in this; I’m just as guilty) post pictures thinking these women are “better” than us. Better body, better hair, better boyfriend, better clothes, better face, so on and so forth.

That’s gotta stop.

Have you ever stopped to think what makes your #wcw so admirable? Is it because her Instagram game is on point? Is it because she travels for a living while you’re stuck in an office? Is it because she’s famous? Since when did all that become more admirable than a kind heart?

Ever wondered what it would be like to BE someone’s #wcw?

Five Ways to be The Ultimate Woman Crush Wednesday:

1. Practice what you preach.
There’s nothing worse than a woman whose actions contradict everything she “stands” for.

2. Don’t be the “yes” girl.
I’ve struggled with this for a long time, and I know I’m not the only one. People will still respect you, if not more, even when you say no. Contrary to our wishes, we simply can’t do it all. It’s ok to delegate tasks out. It’s ok not to host every single party. It’s ok to not make it to five meetings in one night. Take a deep breath, and learn how to say no. The world will not end.

3. Trust your gut.
Ever heard of a woman’s intuition? It’s real, and we should listen.

4. Honesty is the best policy.
Lies and deceit get you nowhere. Tell people how you really feel.

5. Follow the Golden Rule.
“Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” As simple as that sounds, it’s a lot easier said than done. Every single day I have to remind myself to take five seconds and remember not everyone is going to do things my way. Not everyone is going to understand me, and not everyone is going to like me. And that’s ok. But EVERYONE has the right to be treated with respect, even when they’re undeserving. Because God knows, I’m undeserving more times than not.

Do you agree with these? Any you’d like to add? Let me know in a comment below!

Stay fit, friends! Xo

Love, Mattie Claire
