Fit is Chic does The British West Indies

Good morning, FiC followers! I’m finally back from my vacation, and I have A LOT to share.

Toe nail polish: OPI Samoan Sand (I absolutely recommend a sand-colored pedi for the beach. It looked fab!)

I’ve done Hawaii, I’ve experienced Mexico, been to the Virgin Islands; but my family’s vacation to Grand Cayman was, hands down, the most fabulous beach vacation I’ve ever experienced.

The water was absolutely beautiful. Honestly, it was unreal how pretty is was; it almost looked fake.

Our first two nights in Grand Cayman were spent at The Westin Grand Cayman Seven Mile Beach Resort and Spa, and our experience there was TERRIBLE. The standard of customer service was embarrassing, and their management was SO unprofessional. It was simply not up to par with a four-star resort. I could go into further detail, but I refuse to waste any more of my time with them. Long story short — DO NOT STAY THERE.

The following morning, Dad surprised us all by moving us over to The Ritz-Carlton. I died. Actually, we all died. It was indescribably wonderful. It felt as if we had landed in heaven.

The room my sister and I shared was beach-side with a back door that led right out to the beach. Perfection…

And my parents’ room had a jaw-dropping view.

Needless to say, THIS is the place to stay if you ever visit Grand Cayman. It’s heaven, and you should experience it.

The best part about The Ritz, besides the service, was the food. They had a fantastic sushi restaurant, with the best spicy tuna roll I’ve ever tried.

The restaurant, Seven, also located inside The Ritz, was uh-maze-ing. I could’ve eaten their steak and potatoes every day. And their salad…oh my gahhhhh. It had fried okra on top.

We ventured out to some local restaurants too. Calypso Grill had an intimate atmosphere with fantastic seafood. Check out these jumbo shrimp…

If you do ever go to Calypso Grill, you HAVE to try the Sticky Toffee Pudding. It will change your life.

We also tried Ragazzi; and it was great too. INCREDIBLE pizza…and I don’t even like pizza.

If you travel to Grand Cayman, there are three things you absolutely must do. Number 1, visit Stingray City. A sand bar in the middle of the Caribbean where the stingrays come to eat.

Those dark spots in the water are stingrays. And look at that water! Crazy, right?

Number 2, go to Star Fish Point. Star fish eeeeeverywhere. So cool.

Just ignore my ugly laughing face, and check out the starfish just chillin’ in my hand.

Number 3, Rum Point. Bars, restaurants and shops where you can live in a bikini. My kind of place! 🙂

We visited all three in one day on our private chartered boat. Provided by Red Sail Sports, in collaboration with The-Ritz Carlton.

Red Sail Sports was AWESOME. I highly recommend utilizing this company!

So if you’re trying to decide on your next vacation, I’ve made the decision for you. Go to Grand Cayman. You will love it! Xo
