Since transitioning into training/blogging full time, I put on makeup maybe once a week. I hadn’t tried any new products in forever, until I was offered the chance to try Younique’s 3D Fiber Lashes. Younique uses the safest, purest and most natural ingredients in all of their skin care and beauty products, so I felt completely comfortable giving it a try.
This fancy little kit, resembling an eye glasses case, comes with two separate tubes — one tube of the Transplanting Gel:
and one tube of the Natural Fibers:
Although this adds a few extra steps to your makeup routine, it is SO worth it. And it’s a hell of a lot easier than applying glue + fake eyelashes.
Step 1, start by applying one coat of your regular mascara. I used Benefit’s BADgal Lash this morning; it’s not my favorite, but it works.
Notice my eyelashes in the picture above…pretty unimpressive. Just wait.
So you’ve applied your regular mascara. Step 2, apply one coat of the Transplanting Gel (once your regular mascara has dried).
Step 3, immediately apply the Natural Fibers on top of the layer of Transplanting Gel.
And when I say Natural Fibers, I really mean little tiny fibers; look!
Step 4, reapply the Transplanting Gel to keep the Natural Fibers in place.
Step 5, check out those fab lashes!
Keep in mind I did reeeeally light coats of everything since I was heading straight to the gym afterwards.
The great thing about this product is you can make it as dramatic or understated as you like. No clumping, no smudging, and no annoying flakes. And good news, contact-wearers: the fibers didn’t bother my contacts one bit!
