This is probably not something to be proud of, but I feel like I have a PhD in spray tanning. I have literally done it ALL. Booths, tents, creams, gels, sprays, lotions… You name it, I’ve done it.
Until now, I’ve really never strayed, or found anything better, than the VersaSpa booths. I do VersaSpa Pro | Color: Catalina | Shade: Dark (Medium in the winter). If VersaSpa Pro is unavailable, VersaSpa | Color: Bronze | Shade: Dark (Medium in the winter).
Some people swear by Mystic Tan, but it’s just a no-go with my skin tone.
If it weren’t for VersaSpa sending me a box of at-home products to try, I would still be going to the booth every time I needed a little extra color.
Deciding which products to use can be an exhausting process. Trust me, I know. But, here’s the good news — I’ve done the dirty work for you. All you have to do is click, buy, and enjoy! 🙂
In my opinion, VersaSpa’s Self Tanning Bronzing Mist is the BOMB. It takes about three minutes (if that) to spray down my entire body. And yes, I do it myself. It’s easier than you think; you have my word. It’s fast, easy, and I don’t smell like fried chicken/soy sauce throughout the day.
Side note: Am I the only one who thinks spray tans smell like fried chicken and/or soy sauce? Yes? Cool.
The Bronzing Mist only takes about a minute to dry. And huge plus — It’s not like those other aerosol tans that coat your walls in orange mist. (I put a towel down on the bathroom floor, just in case.) I use a tanning mitt to pat in any extra mist; no need to rub. And when I’ve got a good manicure, the little finger protector is a must (otherwise, your pointer finger will be purple).
When I’ve got extra time on the weekends, I like to use the Self-Tan Souffle. It takes a little more time, but the results are fab. And there’s no smell.
In between tans, or when my face is feeling ghostly, the Gradual Tan Face Moisturizer works great. I’m always weary of face products, but this is gentle enough for my hyper-sensitive skin.
