A few weeks ago, I was contacted by a sweet new friend, Brittany. She offered to send me some new dietary products to try, and hesitantly, I accepted. Trying new products is always fun; AND it’s beneficial to you beautiful people who read my blog.
In order for her to know exactly what to send me, Brittany asked about my personal fitness goals. I told her my ultimate goal was to stay fit and healthy while increasing lean muscle mass.
The first thing I saw when I opened the package was a cookie. I mean really? A cookie? Stop… This had to be too good to be true. I was certain it would taste like a cardboard box. I was wrong. It was better than homemade chocolate chip cookies, and it filled me up! It was the perfect snack if you’re seriously craving something sweet.
I was honestly surprised by how good it tasted and how full it made me feel. One cookie had 150 calories and 6 grams of fiber.

The next product I tried was the Vi Crunch Protein Super Cereal in the Sweet Cream Almond flavor.
I am a big fan of cereal; I eat it almost every day. Some cereals are only good with milk, but THIS cereal is good with milk, without milk..on ice cream..in my coffee..this cereal is the bomb.com. I’m not just saying this y’all; I was kind of mad I only had one package of it.
For 170 calories, 12 grams of protein, 5 grams of fiber, and 3 grams of sugar per serving (3/4 cup), this cereal is quite literally a super cereal. I ate it for breakfast at 8 a.m., and wasn’t hungry again until lunch. For further nutritional details, click here.
The last product I tried was the Vi-Shape Shake Mix. Protein shakes always make me bloat up like a balloon; so to be safe, I tried it on a day I had nothing to do just in case things went south.
According to Brittany and all of ViSalus’ reading material, this stuff was supposed to taste like cake mix. I had little faith; there’s no way an evil protein shake could taste like cake.
I decided against trying to make a fancy smoothie; I just mixed the shake mix with skim milk.
These ViSalus people were NOT lying; It tasted just like liquid cake mix. Yes, you could taste a little bit of the protein, but it was delicious compared to everything else I’ve tried. The best thing about it, I did not bloat up at all. I drank the shake for lunch, and was full until about 5:30. Not bad, right?
For 180 calories (milk included) and less than ONE gram of sugar, this shake is the hidden gym of weight management. I have a packet of research on how Vi-Shape shake’s nutritional values compare to others in the market, and it’s impressive. If you’re interested, I’d be more than happy to share with you. Just let me know! 🙂
This product review is just a glance into what ViSalus has to offer. They have all kinds of options; from chocolate and berry fusions to add to the cereal, to 10 different Vi-Shape flavor mix-ins.
