Waking up to start the day, without hitting snooze, is hard enough. Throw in some insomnia AND stress, and it’s a recipe for disaster. And by disaster, I mean hitting snooze 15 times before rolling out of bed with 5 minutes to get ready…
I’m constantly asked,
How do you do it? How do you get up to workout? How do you not die? What is life? Etc…
To be completely honest, I didn’t think I’d EVER get used to it. It’s just a heck of a lot easier for me to torture myself workout before I head to work. Because I am chopped freakin’ liver when I get home in the evenings.
I’ve never been much of a supplement girl, but Y’ALL…
What have I been doing with my life?! Pre-workout is a Godsend.
I tried Spark back in the day, and I’ve tried little vitamin drinks here and there, but this stuff is where. it’s. at.
Now here’s the kicker — I mix it in a water bottle the night before, and set it on my nightstand. The minute my alarm goes off in the morning, I sit up and chug it. And once it’s down the hatch, there ain’t no goin’ back, sister.
It is literally impossible to fall back asleep after drinking this stuff. You can try (Lord knows I have), but you’ll lie there, looking at the ceiling, cursing yourself for not getting your butt out of bed.
So really, as long as I can will myself to open my eyes, and sit up, the hard part’s done.
There are thousands of options when it comes to pre-workout. And every athlete you talk to will probably have a different preference. For me, C4 Ripped works the best. (The cherry-limeade flavor is my fave!)
So why “Ripped?” Why not just the original C4?
One word. Creatine.
Some people have no trouble with creatine. But sadly, I am NOT one of those people. I already have an issue with water retention, so creatine does nothing but exacerbate my issue.
The one thing that took some getting used to was the tingling effect. But now, I really don’t even notice it.
LIFE TIP: Don’t rub your eyes if you have the powder on your hands (it contains cayenne pepper extract). I learned the hard way. So, you’re welcome.
If you’re looking for a miracle powder to make you skinny, this is not it. (Although it does curb my appetite.) But if you’re looking for a little help to get your booty moving in the a.m., I 100% recommend giving this a try.
Have you tried C4? What are your thoughts? Leave me a comment below!
