My very favorite part about this job (training, blogging, etc.) is the ability to pick people up off the floor…literally and figuratively. And my second favorite part? My clients’ (and FiC followers’) ability to return the favor.
Even on my worst days, the motivation and determination I get to experience first-hand is enough to leave me with a smile plastered to my face. It’s awesome. My clients are awesome. And if you’re reading this, you’re freakin’ awesome too.
Exactly one month ago yesterday, a new client completed her very first training session with me. Just like everyone else on their first day, the breaks were frequent; and the looks I received were looks of, “Holy shit, you want me to do whaaaa?” Tooootally normal first-session.
What happened after that totally normal first session, completely 100% blew me the hell away.
This girl shows up rain, snow or shine with a kind smile, and a sweet disposition. She never gives up, AND she does her homework.
WHAT? YOU GIVE YOUR CLIENTS HOMEWORK? GROSS. I HATE YOU.
No, but do I tell them what to work on at home to help improve their progress with me. And y’all, she kills the homework game.
I tell her to work on 30-second planks; and she texts me ON A SATURDAY saying she just did a one-minute plank. What? Huge. She tries every single workout I post on the blog, and when she can’t complete an exercise, she improvises.
I mean, this girl is every trainer’s dream.
Just take a little looksie at this:
She’s down 5 pounds and 6 1/2 inches in just 4 weeks!
I can’t wait to see the progress she makes in the next 3 months before she graduates, because I know it’s going to be incredible.
I walked into your house the first day so nervous about what was to come. Now I’m actually excited to knock on your door because I know I’ll leave happier and stronger than when I came in. I can’t wait to see where I’ll be in three months.
Just three times a week for thirty minutes. YOU can do this too!
