A Chic Home Gym

One of my goals (dreams) in life is to, one day, have a barre room (AKA: “woman cave”) in my home. If you’re unfamiliar with a barre room, it’s pretty simple: room, wood floors, barre on the wall, and surround sound. Sounds simple, right? But done correctly, and it is a magnificent, peaceful haven.

But until then, I’ve created my own chic little home gym. And today, I’m spilling all of my little secrets so you can make your own home gym. Because let’s face it, it will change your life.

Let’s start from the top. First, you’ll need a mirror. No home gym is complete without a mirror.

Second, you’ll need a fan.

Fan | Fit is Chic

This fan is from Target. Isn’t it fabulous? You can order yours online; just click here.

On to the mats…

mats | Fit is Chic

I got my purple mats at Bed Bath and Beyond, but you can find fitness mats at a million different places. I just fell in love with these mats because they’re super padded, and great for core work.

cushioned flooring | Fit is Chic

This cushioned flooring came from Target. It’s great for cardio (jumping, burpees, high knees, etc.). It’s also perfect for protecting pretty wood floors. You can find it online here.

The remainder of my home gym has been collected over the past few years. I have a set of weights that was handed down/I took it from my dad; and the rest of my weights came from Academy and Target.

gym accessories | Fit is Chic

My stability balls and resistance bands were Christmas gifts, but you can find some just like them here. And that super cute rug came from a little boutique, but obviously any rug will do.

So there you have it — A chic little home gym. And the best part about it? It’s a CONSTANT reminder to stay fit! 😉

What’s your favorite home-gym accessory? I’d love to know! Xo
