How many times have you been suckered in to buying something just because the packaging is like, irresistible? Oh, every time you go to the store? Yea, me too.
I’ve gotten much better, I just still can’t help but pick up (and smell) a product with an eye-catching label. I’m a PR woman; one would think I’d know better, right? I actually do know better; I do it for the blog. I have to test stuff to make sure it’s adequate for my readers. (That’s what I tell people/myself.) 😉
I took a look around my bathroom this morning, and spotted four different products with green packaging. Is it because green is my fave color, or is green just really in right now? Let’s go with the latter, because these products I’m about to share are fab AND cheap!
1. Caress Emerald Rush Lush Gardenia & White Tea Essence Body Wash: Caress, you never let me down. This body wash makes you feel glamorous, instantly. I don’t even feel like I need perfume after I use it. Try it; you’ll love it. Only $3.97 at Walmart, $3.99 at Target, and $4.97 at Walgreens.
2. VO5 Herbal Escapes Kiwi Lime Squeeze Clarifying Shampoo & Conditioner: Ok, I swear I’m not crazy. Although, I did think my mom was nuts when I saw she was using VO5. Like, Mom…why? The cheapest stuff on the market? Ew. Well, I immediately put my foot in my mouth after trying it. I use it at least once a week for a good clarifying wash. It smells heavenly, and it works 10 times better than the expensive shampoo I use to buy. And get this — it’s 84 cents per bottle. Yes, $0.84. Talk about saving some serious green!
3. Simple Vital Vitamin Day Cream: I have been an avid user of Cetaphil for as long as I can remember, but I have recently discovered a new love; thanks to Women’s health. They sent a jar of this day cream in my welcome package, and I finally got brave enough to try it. I’m always hesitant to try new face products for fear of having a detrimental breakout, but this day cream is perfectly light AND has SPF 15. I love that it has added vitamins — Provitamin B5 and vitamin E. You can find it at Walmart for $9.97, and at Walgreens for $12.49.
4. Degree Motion Fresh Energy Deodorant: Again, thanks to Women’s Health, I’ve recently switched from Secret to Degree. I love the smell, and I REALLY love how long it lasts. Even better, it’s not hard to scrub off in the shower. No annoying residue left even after you scrub your underarms raw. This is definitely my new go-to. Walgreens actually has it on sale this week for $3.49. So, go getcha some!
I love saving money without sacrificing quality; and these products fit the bill. Are there any cheap products you’d add to this list? Fill me in! Xo
